The Accademia was founded in 1993 by Angelo Chiuchiù. He previously taught Italian as a second Language at the University for foreigners in Perugia and worked for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MInistero degli Affari Esteri -MAE) as a teacher’s trainer.
In the 80’s he published one of the most widely used coursebooks for learners of Italian as a second language (In italiano). The project was promoted by the Presidency of the Council of Ministers (Presidenza del consiglio dei ministri) and RAI television network produced a video which was broadcast all over the world.
We are recognized by the Italian Ministry of Education (MIUR) and have agreements with Unistrasi, Conservatories and Fine Art Academies.
We issue university credits and are certification center for PLIDA, Roma Tre and CILS.
We have partnerships with international Universities: Neumann (Aston-Pennsylvania), University of the Pacific (Stockton), Elon (North Carolina), North American College, Irish College.
